Provide for Linux Systems Administration, Performance Tuning, Security Administration, Systems Software Support and technology assessments in support of a multi-platform UNIX/Windows environment. You will function as a system administrator, responsible for systems enhancement, configuration, Maintenance, Installation, Interfaces, Coordination and Software Installations and Upgrades to Linux operating systems and layered Software Packages. The System Administrator will install, configure and manage Linux/Windows environment, Tomcat and Apache instances in a high availability redundant hosting environment, working with java development team to assist in troubleshooting and ensuring there Is a stable platform for e-commerce systems.
Experience level:
Minimum 4 years in Linux/Windows administration
Minimum 2 years experience supporting 24*7 production environment

- Work closely with Operations team, database administrators, and other systems administrators.
- Install, Configure and administer Linux and Windows Servers.
- Monitor the server environment to identify and resolve problems
- Install, configure and manage Web and Java Application Services
- Install, configure and manage Server Clustering
- Install, Configure and manage Domain name Services, Mail, Web Server, Internet System and Software patching and updating
- Assist senior IT staff in capacity planning
- Conduct system backups and maintain disaster recovery procedures Develop administrative scripts
Requirements:
- Experience as System Administrator supporting mission-Critical infrastructure
- Experience as Linux/Windows administration
- Experience supporting 24*7 production environment
- Experience with IIS and Apache Web Server Configuration and Optimization.
- Working experience with web acceleration/Load balancer
- Working experience with enterprise storage and backup solution
- Experience with Java application deployment, clustering application rollout and familiarity with J2ee concepts is an added plus
- Experience with postgre SQL, MYSQL, Microsoft SQL Server is added plus
- Experience with Network Area Storage is a added plus
- Knowledge of VOIP, Telephony
